This study comes from the University of Southhampton and the University of Edinburgh (who tend to drink lots of tea), and finds that drinking either caffeinated or decaffeinated coffee is associated with a reduced risk of getting liver disease. In fact, scientists discovered that drinking up to 4 cups a day cut the risk of chronic liver diseased by 21%. But wait, there’s more… they also found drinking coffee dropped the risk of death from liver disease by almost 50%!
