Chris Stapleton ‘Honored’ By Country Music Hall Of Fame Display

Yesterday (6/1), Chris Stapleton posted a photo of himself and his wife, Morgane, at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, checking out a display of his own items. He recalled the first time he came to the Music City.

Stapleton captioned the post on Instagram, "When I was a kid, my family took a vacation to Nashville. The first time I ever picked up a guitar and the first time I ever set foot in the Country Music Hall of Fame happened on the same day. I vividly remember looking at all the bronze faces on the plaques and feeling a sense of wonder at their accomplishments."

He added, "I feel uniquely honored to be featured among so many heroes and can't help but hope that someone walking through these highlights & memories will be as inspired as I was that day."

Fans loved the post, with one commenting, "You definitely deserve it, Chris!" Another fan agreed, "Well deserved! You are a legend." One more fan wrote, "So happy for you, Chris. I absolutely love you so much."

Stapleton has won countless awards, including several Grammys, CMAs, and ACMs. In May, he won the top ACM honor of Entertainer of The Year. Backstage after his win, Stapleton said, "I'm humbled by it, and I feel very thankful for the people that voted and think that I'm deserving of that." He added, "I'm not sure that I am, but I'll take it."

His many awards don't even end up in his home in Tennessee. Chris likes to share them with the fans. He said, "Some of them, we put them out on the road in the VIP section for people to see. For the fans to see, that's who they belong to. I don't feel like they really belong to me. I don't have them in my house or anything like that. I don't sit around in a shrine of myself or anything. We try to make sure the fans get to see them and enjoy them as much as possible. Some are in the Country Music Hall of Fame and places where they can be enjoyed."

So how will the 2023 ACM Entertainer of the Year celebrate his latest award? Stapleton offered, "I'm gonna go home. That's how I will celebrate and wake up in my own bed."

Chris Stapleton will be front and center in everyone's living room as he sings the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVII when the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles.

He wasn't always so recognizable: before releasing his debut solo album, Traveller, in 2015; he had written multiple songs for other artists. Whether they were album cuts or big hits, Stapleton's pen and guitar were quite busy before he hit the road singing his own songs. Chris came to Nashville in 2001 to pursue a career in music and quickly signed a publishing deal as a songwriter.

It was released in November 2013 as the third single from Bryan's fourth studio album, Crash My Party, and became his seventh number-one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in February 2014.

This song, written by Chris and Jesse Frasure, was the lead single to Thomas' second studio album, Tangled Up. The first song by Rhett about heartache, "Crash and Burn," tells the story of the narrator whose relationship falls apart.
