Here’s How To Celebrate The Boston Bruins Centennial Season

100 years? That's a pretty incredible success story. With this new season, The Bruins become the first U.S. based NHL team to hit the centennial mark. And they are only the 3rd team overall to reach their 100th. What can we do to honor this remarkable milestone? Here's how to celebrate the Boston Bruins Centennial Season.

The team kicked off the celebration last month with a fashion show of their new jerseys (see below). They also have planned quite a few theme nights throughout the season. President Cam Neely told Boston Hockey Now, "Honoring over 1,000 Bruins alumni will be a big part of our Centennial celebration. Our alumni are the lifeblood of this team. As a former player, I personally understand the honor and responsibility of wearing the Spoked-B, and I look forward to celebrating our alumni and their lasting impact on our club and city.”

The Boston Bruins have a page on their website dedicated to the centennial milestone.  The Bs will host five "Era Nights" throughout the season to honor their rich history. Ticketed fans will get a collectible era-themed mini pennant at the turnstiles on each Era Night. Get your tickets HERE.

Era Nights will conclude on March 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, with the "Return of the Champion" Era Night (2001-present), presented by Coca-Cola. Ticketed fans will receive a collectible era-themed mini pennant at turnstiles on each Era Night.

The Boston Bruins will also hold theme nights starting this Saturday 10/14/23 with Teacher Appreciation night. Other Theme nights are:

When our beloved Boston Bruins open this season at home this October 11th vs. Chicago, it will be a monumental night. After all, the team will commemorate a centennial of professional hockey this year. Here we go making history again, as the Boston Bruins celebrate 100 years with 3 new jerseys.

Over the weekend, some of the players helped unveil the hot new swag, honoring the team's 100th year. This upcoming 100th season will be bedazzled with new merch, new uniforms and a commemorative patch sewn onto the uniforms.

Saturday at Logan International Airport the centennial jerseys were showcased by players and models, in the ultimate "runaway" style. A large crowd gathered for the fashion show at Logan's JetBlue hangar. Adidas worked with the NHL and the Bruins to come up with the centennial uniforms. The goal was to honor the team's history through their uniforms. And they did exactly that by giving their jerseys a makeover.

Below you will see the 3 jerseys, which embrace a modern throwback feel.  Over the weekend, these jerseys were modeled by Brandon Carlo, Brad Marchand and Milan Lucic. Welcome back Looch! Plus, there will be a special commemorative patch worn on the right shoulder of the uniform to observe this historic season. It's all party of the milestone mark, as the Boston Bruins celebrate 100 years with 3 new jerseys.

Perhaps taking a cue from Taylor Swift, the Bruins will host 5 "Era Nights" as part of their centennial season festivities. Opening night is October 11, 2023. And the Bs will be ready to roar with their new jerseys and a big celebration before the game. Hey, who doesn't love a pregame ceremony? This one is set to take place before the puck drops at 7:30, so get their early. Tickets and the new season schedule can be found HERE.

Did you know the Boston Bruins organization was the first U.S.-based NHL club? But, wait, there's more! It's also the 3rd overall to hit the 100 year of play mark. The Bruins follow the lead of Toronto, who celebrated a centennial in 2017,  and Montreal  who hit 100 in 2009. And remember, this season follows their record breaking regular season last year. Feeling good yet?

Looch certainly looks more graceful on the ice than the runway. But the new home jersey suits left wing Milan Lucic perfectly, don't you think? The team's "centennial gold" color in both the new home and away is a little deeper than the tradition bruins gold.

Boston Bruin's defenseman Brandon Carlo was called up to rep the new away jersey for this milestone 100th season. You can't see it from this view but the deep gold has a sparkle to it. There will be a close-up shot below.

Never one to be shy, left wing Brad Marchand lit up the runway to show off the team's new alternative throwback jersey. The "Nose Face Killah" worked the catwalk like a pro. The jersey is said to be inspired by the vintage sweaters from the early days of the team. The club's firt uniforms were made with brown and gold colors. According to WCVB TV, the alternate jersey "is expected to be worn for select matchups against Original Six teams during the upcoming season." 

We know Marshy likes to put on a show on the ice, and clearly he's taken to the runway.
