New England Revolution jersey release
The New England Revolution have revealed their “Boston Tea Party” primary jersey for the 2024 season.
The kits are in honor of the Boston Tea Party that sparked the American Revolution. They boast a classic navy blue base with red sleeves and vertical dotted stripes. United Health Care is once again the chest sponsor, and the new circular logo, a part of the 2022 rebrand, is placed on the right side of the chest. The shorts are blue for the third consecutive year.
Thankfully, these jerseys are not the same as what was leaked on X (Twitter) in the months leading up to the drop. Whether it was a last-minute change by Adidas or simply a false rumor, many supporters breathed a sigh of relief yesterday when the Revs officially posted them to social media.
The stripes on the leaked jersey were wavy and solid. Although a subtle change, they make a monumental difference. The red sleeves provide an interesting contrast that has seen mixed reactions, as has the kit itself. At the end of the day, the jersey lands in the slightly above-average category on my board.

New England will open their season on Wednesday when they take on Panamanian side Independiente de La Chorrera in the revamped CONCACAF Champions Cup competition. Three days later, they will play their MLS opener on the road at DC United.
Expectations vary for the club, which hired veteran coach Caleb Porter this offseason. Porter has won MLS Cup twice. Once in 2015 with the Seattle Sounders and again in 2020 with the Columbus Crew. The departure of fifth all-time leading goalscorer Gustavo Bou will take its toll on the attack, but health is very much wealth for this Revs team, who will see Dylan Borrerro, Henry Kessler, and Brandon Bye return from injury.
This will be the 15th season New England Revolution soccer games can be heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
