Welcome to February. Can you feel it? Love is in the air…and on your plate, at one particular restaurant in the city. With the magnetic pull of Valentine’s Day ahead of us, Yelp released a list for lovers and foodies. And you are going to love this: a Boston restaurant was named one of the 10 most romantic in America!

Valentines Day isn’t for everyone, but food is! It’s a holiday that can conjure up feelings of pressure, isolation(if you’re single) and also feelings of appreciation for the one you love. Take the pressure off yourself with a suggestion of a romantic spot to take yourself, a friend, family member or your amour.

Most of us have picked the “wrong” place more than once. I know I have. For an anniversary one year I suggested to my husband a restaurant in Boston that had been there for many years. It was a place I had it my mind that should be romantic, as it was fancy, expensive and in a nice area of the city. They seated us near the kitchen and nearly forgot about us. We had to fight for our food, which also was a disappointment. I should have relied on reviews.

And The Winner Is…

I’m here to save you from an experience like that. Here’s a spot that comes with high praise from many diners and critics. As reported in Time Out Boston, Sorellina is the place! It scored the #10 spot on a list of Yelp’s Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S. So, yeah, it’s kind of a big deal.

To start, it’s located in one of the most romantic areas of Boston. In beautiful Back Bay and historic Copley Square, you’ll find this Italian-Mediterranean fan favorite. For me, atmosphere is as important as food, when it comes to a romantic dinner. A description on their website gives me all the warm feels: “The dining room at Sorellina evokes a sense of comfort and sophistication with its invitingly warm-modern design and chic decor, serving as the perfect backdrop for Chef Mammano’s cuisine.
