I learned about Sweet Brazil from driving by it. I am a Weymouth Resident and one day I saw a sign for a new business. It is located at 1032 Main Street, right across from the Friendly's. It's also very close to the Whole Foods, Marshall's and Petco. You won't miss it if you're looking for it. And here's the great thing. Lovers of all things Brazil and Brazilian food don't have any problem finding it!
There's been lots of chatter about Sweet Brazil on the Weymouth Foodies Facebook page. All of the mentions have been positive, which is kind of crazy when you think about people on Facebook because that's where everyone loves to be controversial in some way or another. So then I went to Google and read the reviews on there. Sweet Brazil has 5-stars (based on 25 reviews). Here's two of the Google reviews:
"I love it here. You can pick any dish that you want (just like buffet style). And then pay by weight. Then sit and eat. So there is no waiting for a check when you're done. All the foods I chose were delicious, I will definitely be returning to Sweet Brazil." - Lorna B.
"The food is amazing, the prices are cheap, the staff are friendly. This place is a great addition to our community and will always have my business!" - Joao A.
My Thoughts When I Visited Sweet Brazil
When I visited Sweet Brazil I brought my young son with me. I had read all sort of rave reviews about their Brazilian buffet, and truthfully I was blown away by it. When you walk in, you're walking directly into the casual restaurant. There's a buffet station set up with fresh fruit, breads, beans, potatoes and more traditional Brazilian delights.

I filled up my plate with way too much, because when I got to the end I quickly realized what was waiting for me. It was the incredible meat on a metal stick inside an electric oven. If you've ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse, it was just like that. I told the chef what meats I wanted, and he sliced from right from the stick to my plate.
I brought my plate to the counter. They charge $9.99/pound. I might have gone a little overboard on my first time, but my bill was about $19 for an entire full plate of food. It was an easy check out, and the meal was a 10/10 in terms of taste, quality and quickness. Sweet Brazil would be a perfect place to go to if you have only a quick lunch break.

Here's the buffet at Sweet Brazil. At the end of it is where you'll find all of the options for sliced meats to add to your plate. (I wish I got a picture of that!)
The Rest Of Sweet Brazil Is Inviting And Traditional
The rest of the store included aisles filled with traditional Brazilian foods and home items. There was Brazilian candy, peanuts, chips, drinks, toys and so much more. To the right of the aisles was an incredibly large bakery filled with Brazilian pastries, cakes, buns, and fresh squeezed juices. I didn't purchase anything from the bakery, but I will definitely be back to do that.

Here's the aisles at Sweet Brazil. They are stocked with anything and everything that you can imagine. If it's made in Brazil, they'll probably have it!
Sweet Brazil has only been open for a few months but I can quickly tell that it will be a business that will stick around for a long time. Residents are excited for this addition. I can't wait to go back and try more things, and bring my husband, too!
OK, the North Shore has spoken, so now it's our turn!
Here are 15 spectacular sub shops on the South Shore!
We asked and you answered. Where can we find a mouth-watering submarine sandwich, hoagie, sub, whatever you want to call it?
Whatever you call 'em, sub sandwiches are the best.
There, I said it. And before you start getting all worked up about how burgers or tacos or pizza are better, just hear me out. Sub sandwiches have a certain je ne sais quoi that no other food can match.
For starters, sub sandwiches are incredibly versatile. You can put pretty much anything you want on them, from turkey and cheese to meatballs and marinara sauce. And let's not forget about the condiments. Mustard, mayo, ketchup, hot sauce, ranch – the possibilities are endless. You can customize your sub sandwich to your heart's content, and that's a beautiful thing.
Another thing that sets sub sandwiches apart from other foods is their portability.
You can take a sub sandwich with you pretty much anywhere, whether you're going on a picnic, heading to the beach, or just need a quick lunch at work. And unlike a burger or a slice of pizza, you don't need a plate or utensils to eat a sub sandwich. Just unwrap it and dig in.
But perhaps the best thing about sub sandwiches is the way they bring people together.
Think about it: when was the last time you went to a party or gathering where there wasn't a sub sandwich platter? Sub sandwiches are the ultimate crowd-pleaser. Everyone can find something they like on a sub sandwich, and everyone can make their own sandwich exactly the way they want it. It's a win-win.
So there you have it. Sub sandwiches are the best food around, and there's really no argument to be made to the contrary. They're versatile, portable, and bring people together. Plus, they taste pretty darn good, too. So the next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, skip the burger or the pizza and go for a sub sandwich instead. Your taste buds (and your stomach) will thank you.
