For the first time in 16 years, Team USA made the podium and took home the bronze at the olympics in large part to these two hometown athletes.
Frederick Richard is from Stoughton
Fred was born in 2004 and is from Stoughton, MA. He competed at Michigan and went on to compete in several NCAA and world championships. But it's his social media presence that has introduced Fred to both gymnastics fans and non gymnastics fans alike. Fred has 769.3k followers on TikTok where he has hundreds of millions of views.
Stephen Nedoroscik is from Worcester
Stephen is quirky, glasses wearing pommel horse specialist that has a Worcester backround. Stephen was chosen for Team USA for one rotation only. He competed on the pommel horse dead last and his essential hit of his routine gave Team USA their first medal in 16 years. He ultimately scored a 14.866 and did his job.

Meet the U.S. Olympic Breakdancing team
There are 10 athletes that make up the United States Breaking team. Two men and two women will compete for gold for the first time ever in Olympic competition. Vicki Chang, Javier Chavez, Sunny Choi, Logan Edra, Carmarry Hall, Morris Isby, Jeffrey Louis, Valencio Martinez, Victor Montalvo and Alexander Diaz. Diaz is from Boston and went to Madison Park High School.
Alexander Diaz owns a dance studio in Cambridge
Alex is the President of the Floor Lords Crew. The Floor Lords, according to their website, is an "organization that seeks to use the positive aspect of hip hop dance to reach and empower youth, worldwide." He is a married father of two boys and he's from Roxbury. He even created his own move which he considers dangerous titled the cannonball head spin. According to Diaz if this move is done incorrectly it could knock you out. He's performed alongside artists like Missy Elliott, LL Cool J and 50 Cent. We can't wait to see how Alex fares against the best breakdancers in the world at the Paris Olympics. Breaking takes place on August 9 and August 10.
