Made-to-Order Breakfast Restaurant First Watch Opens First Massachusetts Location
A made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and brunch chain has opened its doors for business on the South Shore in Hanover, Massachusetts. The Florida-based First Watch is now serving customers at its Hanover Crossing location, 1775 Washington St., Suite 762. Hanover is the first of several First Watch locations planned for communities across New England.
The First Watch Hanover Crossing’s 3,500-square-foot restaurant can seat about 111 guests, with an additional 26 spaces on its covered patio. The company has created 30 jobs at this new location.
āWe are beyond excited to introduce First Watch’s creative approach to breakfast, brunch, and lunch in Hanover and to be part of such a wonderful community,ā Mike Lankowski, regional vice president of First Watch, said in a news release shared with Boston 25 News. āWe look forward to becoming a place where friends and families can gather to start their day.ā
First Watch celebrated its grand opening in Hanover on Monday, Jan. 20, with a pancake-flipping ceremony featuring Lankowski and special guest Massachusetts Rep. David Decoste (R-Fifth Plymouth District). Hanover High School cheerleaders performed a backflip in time with the restaurant’s ceremonial first pancake flip.
First Watch has gained popularity for its made-to-order dining concept and its use of fresh ingredients in dishes that don’t require deep fryers, heat lamps, or microwaves to prepare. Serving breakfast, lunch, and brunch every day from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the restaurant offers items such as farmhouse hash, lemon ricotta pancakes, “million-dollar” bacon, lunch bowls, salads, and sandwiches. Healthy juices incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables into the drinks.
Vegan and vegetarian options are available, including an A.M. Superfoods Bowl containing coconut milk chia seed pudding and berries.
