Chick-fil-A Set to Open at Logan Airport Terminal A This Summer
A new Chick-fil-A will open its doors at Boston Logan International Airport’s Terminal A in summer 2025, according to Massport officials. This adds to the fast-food chain’s growing footprint across New England.
The news was first shared on Only In Boston’s social media. The airport location will be Boston’s second Chick-fil-A, coming after their Copley Square restaurant opened in 2022.
The chain currently operates about 20 locations throughout Massachusetts. Their New England footprint includes 16 restaurants in Connecticut, four in New Hampshire, and two each in Rhode Island and Maine.
The chain’s journey to Boston faced some hurdles. Late Boston Mayor Thomas Menino sent a letter expressing worries about anti-LGBTQ+ remarks. The company has since stopped supporting groups opposing LGBTQ+ rights.
In a significant change, the company now openly accepts LGBTQ+ employees and franchise owners – quite different from its earlier position that drew heavy criticism.
Vermont remains the only New England state without a Chick-fil-A location. The exact opening date for the Logan Airport restaurant hasn’t been announced yet.
