On May 2 through 4, Boston's City Hall Plaza will be the place to experience one of the largest Asian food festivals during Panda Fest.
The website Boston Uncovered noted that the event will highlight more than 200 varieties of Asian food from more than 75 vendors, specialty food providers, and live performances, including K-Pop bands.
"Prepare to take an adventure through the flavors of Asia with culinary lineups including steaming hot dumplings, sushi rolls, ramen, tanghulu, and more foods from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and so much more!" the website noted.
"There is a surge in the interest and love for Asian food and culture, and we noticed that it's hard to find a dedicated platform in Boston to celebrate this. That's why Panda Fest was created. It's intended to be an experiential festival where people can taste authentic Asian cuisine and immerse themselves in the rich culture and traditions,” said Biubiu Xu, founder of Panda Fest.
More than 15 vendors will offer various types of merchandise, including handmade specialty products, calligraphy art, artisanal teas, crafts, clothing, and accessories. The entire market will also come alive with performances that cover classic Asian dance routines and K-Pop shows.
According to Boston Uncovered, general admission tickets are $13, and VIP tickets are $25. Kids 6 and older require an entry ticket. Youth younger than 6 enter free with a complimentary panda headband. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
Panda Fest will run on Friday, May 2, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
