Meet Abigail Vail

Describing this artist in a few words, won’t be easy. Abigail Vail’s music can’t be captured in black and white, as her newest release clearly states. She is the wildflower in her song, “Black and White.” Of course, when your idol is Grammy Award winning songwriter (and Stoughton native) Lori McKenna, your palate is likely to hold bold colors.

Vail has a way of painting a clear, yet abstract picture with her lyrics. Intertwining literal and figurative references drawn from life experiences is truly a gift. Similarly, Abby’s vocals can be sweet and strong. You can float away with the sound of her voice, as it rests pleasantly upon your ears. Or it can drawn you in to listen closer to a message deemed important with it’s tonal strength.

After a two year wait, Abigail’s debut album is finally here. Wandering Soul features ten originals from this talented singer/songwriter. That’s just one of her babies. Ms Vail and her husband are expecting their first child! There is likely to be at least some settling down for this wandering soul in the future. But there is undoubtedly more exceptional music to come.
