JLAW’s Newest Movie Looks A Lot Like Black Widow’s Origin Story
All of the movies Jennifer Lawrence seems to be putting out this year are super creepy and serious looking.
First, there was Mother!, and now there’s Red Sparrow.
As they describe the character of “the sparrow” in the trailer, I have to wave my flag and say I’ve seen this before. That’s basically the origin story of Scarlett Johannson’s character in the Marvel Universe, Natasha Romanoff.

Obviously, they will make the movie different from what you’d see in a Marvel film, and it’s not that Red Sparrow is a super hero story, but the premise that the women are trained to seduce men to get intel, that’s a lot like Black Widow’s “Particular set of skills,” don’t you think?

Not trying to snub you, JLAW… But I think I would rather have Black Widow have her own stand-alone movie.
