Oh, you know how we Bostonians love to bark about being the best. Here’s another reason to raise your hands in the air, and “paws” for a moment of celebration. Boston has just received another honor. A Boston Hotel has been named the Best Pet Friendly Hotel in the U.S! Not one of top 10 or top 5, but numero uno.

If you are a pet owner, you know how hard it is to find a place that takes pets, let alone a nice place. From my family’s experience, we have had to settle for some less than desirable lodging because we have a dog. And our Zoey doesn’t fit in a cute little basket. She’s a good 52 pounds. Many accomodations won’t take a medium to large dog. Hiring someone to stay with  your pooch, while you are away can mean a shorter vacation time, or even discourage you from your adventure because of the cost.

You may want to grab your leash and pack a bottle of champagne, because there is a weekend in Boston calling you! Or perhaps you will want  venture out to Colorado, or California, Arizona or Geogia. This list will entice you to stay at one of these purrrfectly pulchritudinous places. Does you pup appreciate a plus pallet? How about a treat at check in? Well check these out!

USA Today asked their readers to vote for their favorite pet friendly hotels across America, in their 10Best feature. According to the article, editors of the publication and a panel of experts narrowed down the field to the top 20 best pet friendly hotels in the U.S. Ultimately, the readers chose the 10 best. This list of 10 hotels offers plenty of pretty options for you and your pets. I will highlight just the top 4 of the 10 in honor of our 4 legged friends.
