Any given Sunday, there’s talk, there’s prep, there’s pregame. Runs to the grocery store, calls to friends, bets placed, menu planned. It’s all part of the fun of being a football fan. But this weekend, a few hours that would have been dedicated to being a New England Patriots fan, will be freed up. The Pats have a bye week, and that gives all of us a chance to take full advantage and try one or all of these 9 cool things to do around Boston.

You can do laundry, of course. you could clean out the garage, rake leaves, pay bills or Netflix and chill. Or you can do something outside of the norm and mundane. I’ve put together a few suggestions for you here, with the help of thebostoncalendar.com, eventbrite.com and common sense. And hey remember, there’s always next Sunday for chili, the couch and the Patriots. Do you think it’ll be Mac or Zappe next week? Oh, let’s not go there. Let’s go here…
