New York Times critic Jon Caramanica describes Ashley McBryde: “McBryde sings with fire and fury, laughing and swigging that brown stuff along the way. And she doesn’t do it in glitter and sequins, either, like a good lady of Music Row. McBryde wears her boots and cracks her jokes: with McBryde, what you see is what you get, and what you get is what you see.” We couldn’t agree more!
Ashley McBryde and Carly Pearce won Music Event of the Year for “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” at the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, and the song is climbing the country radio charts. Ashley’s most recent album, Never Will, absolutely blew music critics away, earning her a top 5 album on the Billboard Country Charts. Never Will was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Country Album and the Country Music Association for Album of the year.
From a small town in Arkansas, Ashley has made quite the impression on country music. In April 2017, Eric Church brought her on stage and called her a “whiskey-drinking badass,” confessing that he’s a massive fan. The rest of the world is quickly catching on, too.
