Country music is everywhere on social media. TikTok is the latest platform where country stars can share their moments on and off stage. On TikTok, country stars let loose a bit more and have a bit more fun. TikTok posts often differ from artists’ other social media accounts, where they blanket post the latest news in their lives and careers.
The description of TikTok says it is for “creating, sharing, and discovering short videos.” Users enjoy the app as an outlet to express themselves through singing, dancing, comedy, and lip-syncing. It allows users to create videos and share them across a community.
Most country stars have TikTok. Although not all of them pay attention to the trends on the app. Last week, during a number one party for his song “Dancin’ In The Country,” Tyler Hubbard was asked about a trend, and he was unfamiliar with it. He said that he does not go on the popular app.
Randy Travis, a country icon from the 1980s, does have the app and used it recently to share a special moment from CMA Fest 2023 where Tim McGraw joined Travis to sing one of his biggest hits. Another country icon that uses TikTok is Dolly Parton, whose team posts videos and clips from her long and storied career.
Blake Shelton told us not long ago that while he was “hot” on social media and did it himself early in his career, these days he has people that do most of it for him (like many celebrities). His TikTok is full of videos as well, including a new dancing video of himself and Larena Alaina. The two danced to her new song “Thicc As Thieves.” Shelton’s camp did share the same clip on his other social media accounts as well.
We gathered some fun posts on what we believe are country music’s best five TikTok accounts any die-hard should follow.
