Thanksgiving is under a week away, and if you’re planning on hosting guests for dinner, it’s time to start taking your turkey out of the freezer and putting it in the fridge to thaw – unless you want your guests to chomp down on an turkey-flavored ice block that is.

Here’s the list of recommended dates to make the freezer to fridge switch from the experts at the Country 102.5 Turkey Quality Control Department.

  • 28-32 lbs. - Monday, Nov. 14

It better be in the fridge already. Nobody wants to go cold turkey.

  • 24-28 lbs. - Wednesday, Nov. 16

If it’s not in the fridge yet, I may need to rethink my plans.

  • 20-24 lbs. - Friday, Nov. 18

  • 16-20 lbs - Saturday, Nov. 19

  • 12-16 lbs. - Sunday, Nov. 20

  • 8-12 lbs. - Monday, Nov. 21

  • 4-8 lbs. - Tuesday, Nov. 22
