Famous for his roles in The Hunger Games, Vikings, Lone Survivor and Bad Boys For Life, actor Alexander Ludwig has a new starring role. Ludwig, the singer/songwriter, released his debut album today. The country music artist has been singing and writing most of life, and is finally able to embrace this side of his artistry. His solo debut, Highway 99, is a nod to his upbringing in Vancouver, Canada. The family roadtrips were pivital to shaping this artist’s sound.

He had one of those rare lightning-in a-bottle moments that lead to his album coming together and finding a Nashville record label. The album was written and recorded in Music City in between his crazy filming schedule. It was a chance encounter on one of the flights between Hollywood and Nashville that changed his life.
