When Freddie Mercury is your inspiration, there will be drawing outside the lines. Brad Goff has blurred the borders of  genres and created a unique palate of colorful music. At first listen to his latest single, “Heart of Mine,” you may feel like you were dropped into a 1970s Bond movie. The song definitley has a soundtrack vibe.

Brad has dipped his paint brush into a variety of genres, from country to rock and blues. From the impressionable age of 12, this singer/songwriter has absorbed music from a large pool of influences, including Mr. Mercury and Stevie Wonder. He has performed with country bands, rock bands and as a solo artist.

Goff is currently on the road with the Linda Ronstadt Experience. You can see his upcoming dates below, and get to know this exceptional and talented artist.

Brad’s new solo release is called, “Heart of Mine.” He shared, “The song was written in the lustful early stages of a new romantic relationship.  I probably wrote the song to impress the girl, but I ended up revealing some of the darker elements of our relationship to myself.”

  • A Bit About Brad

    • Grew up in: Belmont, MA
    • What do you love about where you grew up: the fall weather, the variety of music/musicians, the coast
    • Now lives in: Newton, MA
    • Current single: “Heart of Mine”
    • What lead you to music: I first had a chance to play in a band at age 12, and I was quickly drawn to vocal harmony and the music of the 60’s and 70’s.  I loved the guitars, the visual aesthetic, and the sense of identity that music provided.
    • Instruments played:  Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Voice
    • How would you describe your sound: Over-the-top rock and pop with a tip of the hat to the greats of the 60’s and 70’s.
    • Who inspires you:  Freddie Mercury, Stevie Wonder, my parents, my sister
    • Awards/accolades:   Currently touring with The Linda Ronstadt Experience featuring Tristan McIntosh of American Idol fame, once had the chance to open for Old Dominion at the Bank of NH Pavilion with my former country band Amber Eyes.
    • Dream duet partner: Hm… how about Ella Fitzgerald
    • All- time favorite country song: Deeper Than The Holler by Randy Travis comes to mind first… Crazy by Willie Nelson of course… I also really like Smoke Break by Carrie Underwood!
    • First country concert:  probably when I opened for Old Dominion in 2019!  haha
    • What songs do you like now on Country 102.5:  I can get down with some Luke Combs!
    • If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing:  I’d probably move out to Colorado to climb boulders with my cousin.
    • Day Job:  At the moment it’s piano students and touring with the LRE!
    • Most proud moment:  Any time a dear friend gives me a thoughtful compliment on one of my songs.
    • Crazy thing that happened in your music career: Probably pre-show tequila shots with Old Dominion.
    • Other things you like to do:  I love to cook!!  I like to keep it simple though, no recipes!  I also recently purchased an electric skateboard and it has been life-changing.
    • Fun facts:  I am a proud uncle, I enjoy making my apartment feel as cozy as possible.
    • Mantra: here’s one… “do the next right thing”.  I think it implies that we often know what to do when we feel lost or overwhelmed, it can be helpful to simplify down to one small task that’s right in front of us.  Those small things add up.
