* From: Shrewsbury, MA
* Now lives in: Shrewsbury, MA – Moving to Nashville, TN in the fall
* What do you love about where you grew up: I love that I was able to grow up in the same house my entire life. I have so many memories and milestones I experienced in it. My town is large but it also feels like a small town where everyone knows each other. I also grew up going to the Cape which I love being so close to. It was a tradition every summer and we still try to get the whole family together and go.
* Current single: “When We Were”
* What lead you to music: I have always loved to sing ever since I was little. Music became a way of expressing myself very quickly. My mom always played country music (including Country 102.5) on the radio which opened me up to the genre. I grew up on a lot of ’90s/ 2000’s country. I’ve been able to see so many incredible artists perform live including Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini, and more. Through that, I was able to physically see how much music can bring people together. There are many aspects of the genre I find very special from the instruments to the incredible storytelling. There was always a country song out there that explained how I was feeling at any given moment. I’ve always wanted to be able to put out music that allowed someone to feel heard. We all go through a lot of similar situations and find healing through music. It can bring you back to a specific memory and help you through the hardest moments. Being able to do for others what so many artists did for me is an honor.
*How old when you started: I started taking lessons when I was six years old, but I didn’t begin pursuing music professionally until I was sixteen.
*Instruments played: Learning guitar!
* How would you describe your sound: Country/Pop with some 90’s vibes
* Who inspires you: I would say Kelsea Ballerini, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Carly Pearce, Kenny Chesney, Lindsay Ell – the list goes on!
*Awards/accolades: 2017 Female Vocalist of the Year – NECMO. Nominated for five 2020 Worcester Music Awards and accepted award for “Best College Act”.
*Dream duet partner: Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, Jennifer Nettles
*All- time favorite country song: Music is Healing by Florida Georgia Line
*First country concert: Keith Urban
*What songs do you like now on Country 1025: “She Had Me at Heads Carolina” by Cole Swindell, “Buy Dirt:-Jordan Davis Ft. Luke Bryan, “Like I Love Country Music”- Kane Brown,: HEARTFIRST” -Kelsea Ballerini, “Circles Around This Town”- Maren Morris, “What He Didn’t Do”- Carly Pearce
*If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing: I went to college for Digital Marketing which is another passion of mine. If I wasn’t a musician, I would most likely pursue that full-time.
*Most proud moment: I would say my most proud moment was performing for the first time in Faneuil Hall. I was always terrified of singing in front of an audience until I finally let go of those fears. It was also that experience that showed me I could pursue music rather than let it continue to be a dream.
*Crazy thing that happened in your music career: My single “When We Were” being featured on the Academy of Country Music’s New Music Friday was a recent exciting accomplishment. It also reached 10,000 streams on Spotify within a month…that was crazy! I am so grateful to everyone that’s connected with and shared my music.
*Famous encounters: I have had the privilege of meeting Kelsea Ballerini twice now.
*Other things you like to do: I love digital marketing/graphic design, art (drawing, painting), poetry, and reading when I can!
*Fun facts: My favorite food is mac ‘n’ cheese. I just graduated from Bryant University with a degree in Digital Marketing and Psychology. I’ve been going to Disney World since I was born so at this point I’ve been about 22+ times.
*Mantra: There’s a past version of you that is so proud of how far you have come
