* From: Coventry, RI
* Current music: My new single and music video “Faster Than Love” are available on my EP “Insider” wherever you stream and purchase music and on YouTube
* What lead you to music: My father, Steve would always play music for us when my brother and I were little. We grew up listening to Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and The Moody Blues. I knew I wanted to learn, perform, and write music as much as I could.
* How old when you started: I started playing music when I was thirteen years old. The summer of 2000.
* First country song you learned: My first country song I ever learned how to play was “These Boots” by Eric Church. He is an amazing storyteller.
* Instruments played: I mainly play guitar and sing but I can play just about any stringed instrument if I spend some time with it. I also played harmonica on “Faster Than Love”!
* How would you describe your sound:
* Who inspires you: Other artists always inspire me to write and perform. The community of like minded people and friends I surround myself with also inspire me to do good in my everyday life and be part of a positive shift.
* Awards/accolades: I was voted “Class Musician” at Coventry High School in 2005.
* Dream duet partner: I would love to do a co-write or duet with Kacey Musgraves. I think her writing is simple yet effective and her voice is gentle and warm. I think we would compliment one another very wel
* All- time favorite country song: My #1 would have to be “Red Light” by David Nail. That song is burnt into my memory driving near the Charles River in Boston. For me, that song has everything.
* First country concert: My first country concert was Eric Church in Boston, MA at The Paradise
* What songs do you like now on Country 1025: Right now I’m really liking anything by artists like Travis Denning, Morgan Wade and Luke Combs.
* If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing: If I weren’t playing music, I’d be feeing empty. This is it!
* Day Job: I recently took a leap of faith and left my job of 11 years to pursue my music. My intuition was yelling at me so loud I couldn’t ignore it.
* Most proud moment: Becoming a father and all the moments I get to teach and spend with my daughter.
* Crazy thing that happened in your music career: I think what’s crazy is that one of my dear friends, Kurt, who recorded some pedal steel and slide guitar on a few tracks on my EP “Insider”, gets to play for Luke Combs. Knowing that makes me believe that we can all make it if we believe in ourselves and know that we are all worthy enough.
* Other things you like to do: I love running, laughing as much as possible, and giving my time to others who fill me up and do the same for me
*Fun facts: I was my High School’s Junior Prom King in 2004, I attended Berklee College of Music for a little over a year, and I was a milkman at one point in my life!
*Mantra: I have a few mantras. I like “I achieve my goals with ease,” and “Do less accomplish more.” Sometimes we just need to detach from the outcome and know that something better is coming for us better than we could’ve ever imagined.
