Since 2013, The Jake Ash Band has been entertaining audiences all over New England with their lively brand of country rock. Their sound fuses trational and modern country, with a jolt of rock. This band is plain and simply, good time music.
The original line-up consisted of four Brockton firefighters and a beer truck driver friend. That’s how the name Jake Ash Band came to be. Jake is a nickname for a firefighter and ash came from…well, you will find out below. Today, only 2 original members are still in the band, Ken the beer delivering lead singer, and Paul G, a Brockton firefighter. They are surrounded by their talented friends, Paul T, Dennis and Mark.
The Jake Ash Band’s latest single really showcases their southern rock sound. “Forever Kinda Time” conjures up memories of Marshall Tucker Band ballads or Jimmy Buffett’s “Come Monday.” It’s that slightly twangy, southern comfort kind of vibe. And frankly, I’m here for it. This has just become my favorite original by the JAB. You can most certainly sense that this band has worked together a long time. It’s chemistry and comfort…it’s family and fun. It’s the Jake Ash Band. Get to know them. Listen to their music. See a show.
