Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a few days away and there are many things to do in the days leading up to it. MLK Day is a federal holiday held on the third Monday of January and celebrates the life and achievements of the civil rights leader. King’s actual birthday is January 15th. MLK and wife Coretta had ties to Boston as Martin spent time here getting his doctorate at Boston University, and Coretta attendedf the New England Conservatory.

If you’re looking for something to do, there are several events for you to choose from. Many of them are free.
