Sometimes you can’t get away for a full vacation. But you still need to get away. Massachusetts day trips can certainly scratch that itch.
As you’re reading this, I’m guessing you might be at work. Or on your way to work. Or maybe on your way home from work. And perhaps you’re thinking: “I’d like to be somewhere else.” Because work is, well, work. And traffic is, well, a soul-crushing byproduct of work. And sometimes we just need a day away from all of that noise to reset, recharge, and reconnect with ourselves, right?
That’s the subject of this week’s 12-Inch Poll. That’s where I, Adam 12, ask you [insert your name here] to answer some inane question my addled brain has spit out. I’ve had travel on that addled brain of mine as of late. A couple of weeks ago, I asked you about the best holiday weekend to take off. A few weeks before that, it was favorite New England summer vacation destinations.
You’ll see a few of those destinations pop up in this week’s Poll, to be sure. Because sometimes a place can be great for a week away, but also great for a day. I’ll use a non-Massachusetts example: Wells Beach, Maine. Every summer, I spend a week there with my family. But I also make a regular habit of spending an afternoon and evening there during the warmer months. It’s so close!
Massachusetts Day Trips: What’s the Best Destination?
Back to the Commonwealth, I’ve come up with a handful of local spots that are choice day trip selections. Mostly, they’re regions and not actual cities and towns. That’s because I want to give you the area and let you, in your own addled brain, imagine where you’d spend the day. Take a trip through my selections, then vote for the place you’d most like to day-trip.
