Darnell has a really great first date with a girl, but felt some gas coming on. He thought he was in the clear when he went to the car and she went to use the bathroom, but she came back right away and could obviously smell the bomb he dropped in the car. Should he even bother asking her out on a second date? Would you ask out a girl for a second date after she could smell the bomb you dropped and thought you got away with?
Ayla’s Call With Darnell
Ayla Brown: And good morning, Darnell. Oh, my gosh. Your message. As we say in the country world. Bless his heart. Like your message. I had to set up a phone call with you because I don’t think you’re the only one who’s gone through a situation like this. Tell me what happened on your first date with this girl.
Darnell: So I picked her up, and, you know, everything was great. I picked her up. It’s a first date, so I take her to a very nice restaurant. Okay. Right. We go to this place and we order our food. Our conversation is really good. It’s been a while since I’ve had a first date.
Ayla Brown: Got it. Wow. Okay. But great.
Darnell: Yeah. And then what happens in about the last third of the date, Right? I notice I get that rumbling in my stomach.
Ayla Brown: Oh, no.
Darnell: Am I? Oh, is this… I said okay. I’m talking to her. I’m thinking in my head the whole time. I don’t even remember what we’re talking about. I realize, okay, this is gas. Oh, no.
Never Trust A Fart
Darnell: We get our check, I pay for everything. We go out to the car. Okay? We go all the way to the car. And all I’m thinking about is I have to hold this in because my farts are always terrible. And on a first date. I can’t let this happen, Right? So we get to the car. I’m about to turn it on. And she goes, Oh, I’ll be right back. I’m going to go use the bathroom. I’m saying, yes. Jesus. Thank you so much.
Ayla Brown: You’re like thank you Jesus. Take the wheel.
Darnell: Yes. I said Thank you, Lord. You’re there. I see what you’re doing. So she gets out of the car. She’s going to be gone for a while. So I let the windows down. I turn the AC all the way up. Okay. I get that air blowing and I let it rip.
So I let it rip in my car. You know, they’re normally bad. But this one was the worst ever. I’m sorry. I’m like, I’m so glad she leaves, and then I turn and I look. She’s coming right back to the car. I don’t know how and I think she was gone for 30 seconds.
Ayla Brown: Oh, no.
Darnell: She says all the bathrooms are occupied. I don’t live too far. I’ll just go when I get home.
Ayla Brown: So she got in your car. Do you think she could smell the bomb you dropped?
Darnell: I’m sure she did.
Ayla Brown: Because you said it was the worst one ever. I’m so sorry you went through that, Darnell. I literally have tears rolling from my eyes right now. So what is your question? Do I ask her out for a second date?
Darnell: Yeah, that’s exactly it. Because it was so bad, it was a first date and she never mentioned anything about smelling it or anything like that. But come on, come on. She had to.
