Donna threw a party for her kids and bought a bunch of Pepsi because it was on sale. Her husband was horrified that she bought Pepsi instead of Coke and made her go back to the store and return the Pepsi. Donna thinks that’s crazy but he was insistent. Would you return the Pepsi if your husband insisted you go back to the store?
Ayla Brown: And good morning, Donna. This is I feel like a battle that’s been brewing between Coke and Pepsi for many years. But your Coke and Pepsi dilemma is brewing at the house. What happened?
Donna: Yeah. I think this whole thing is kind of ridiculous. But last weekend, we had a birthday party for my son. He just turned ten.
Ayla Brown: Oh, happy birthday, man.
Donna: Thank you. It was a really big party. We have a big extended family that all came and a lot of kids from his class and some neighbor kids. I mean, there were a lot of people. So I had to buy a ton of food and drinks and everything. And when I went to the store, there was a big sale on Pepsi. And my husband had said, Oh, go get a bunch of Coke. And to me, there was just there was no difference. You know what I mean? The Pepsi was on sale. So of course, I’m just going to get the Pepsi, especially when I’m having to buy it for like.
Ayla Brown: So many people.
Donna: Yeah, that.
Ayla Brown: Every penny.
Donna: Yeah. When you’re buying in that quantity, it’s a big deal. So I bought the Pepsi, bring it home, and my husband flipped out. I told you to get Coca Cola. I was like, Yeah, I got Pepsi. It’s the same thing. I got a cola.
Ayla Brown: Not to people who are very particular, but to me Coke and Pepsi, I feel like you’re either in one lane or the other. It’s either you love Coke or you love Pepsi, but there’s no way you would even go over to the other lane.
