My Daughter Wants To Skip School To Listen To Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department On Repeat All Day

The singer surprised a fan by planning with the groom's sister, who wrote to Swift about the death of their mother. The couple had gotten married by the mother’s bedside in the hospital so she wouldn’t miss out on the nuptials. The mother and son even danced to “Blank Space” before she died. <br> So, Taylor made her way to New Jersey in 2016 to perform "Blank Space" during the reception while playing a keyboard and encouraged others to sing along.

Nicole wrote in with a real time problem she needs our help with. Taylor Swift released “Tortured Poets Department” at midnight. She and her daughter are giant Swifties and bond over Taylor Swift‘s music. They have been listening to the new album all morning, but her daughter is taking things further. She wants to skip school and listen to the album on repeat all day. Is Tortured Poets Department release day a good enough excuse to skip school? Or should her daughter have to go to school today? You get to decide.

 

Here’s Nicole’s Tortured Poets Department Dilemma

Dear Jonathan & Ayla,

Hey guys love the show and so does my 15 year old daughter Olivia. We listen every day! Well Olivia is a huge fan of Taylor Swift and we started having an argument last night that has spilled over to this morning. The new Taylor Swift album, “Tortured Poets Department” came out today and my daughter and I have been listening to it all morning. She wants to stay home and listen to it some more to “absorb” it.

She’s a good student, get straight A’s and despite it being a private school with very high standards, is always at the top of her class academically. I’ve never let her stay home from school even if she’s been a little sick, but I can’t help but feel the need to indulge her on this.

So she said “What if you ask Jonathan and Ayla and they are ok with it? They don’t agree on anything so if they say I can do it then it must be ok!” So what do you guys think?
