The City of Boston has released the list of the most popular dog names. A quick glance at the list and you’ll likely question…dog names or people names? Clearly, our pups are our family, more so than ever, and we are naming them accordingly.
I’m looking and looking…and somehow I don’t see the name that should be near the top. It should be obvious. But it’s not there. Where’s Dunkin’? Spoiler alert the top female and male names for pups in 2022 remain the same from the previous year.
According to licensing data from the Animal Care and Control Division, the top dog names in Boston last year were Charlie and Luna. Fun fact: the top three breeds in the city in 2022 are Labrador Retriever, Gold Retriever, and Chihuahua.
