Why I Care About Celebrities And Their Pets
In 2017, I bought a Pekingese and named him “Brate.” He was just a few pounds of fluff, but he was MY few pounds of fluff. The instant I laid eyes on him I knew he was “the one” for me. Strangely enough, I am not even a “dog person.” Go figure! But that day, on New Year’s Eve, I bought my first puppy.
I bought Brate in upstate NY at a pet shop in the mall. Not proud of that, but he’s the best purchase I’ve ever made!
Anyone who has a dog or cat knows that you don’t just have a dog or a cat. You need the outfits to go with it. Sweaters for when it gets cold out. Matching dog bowls. A New England Patriots shirt. And don’t forget all of the dozens and dozens of toys! Hook, line and sinker. This dog now has more toys than my 11-month-old son.
Celebrities Have Influence On Pet Owners
Celebrities are stars for a reason. They are good at what they do, and they have influence. If I love Miranda Lambert (which I do), and I knew she had a dog toy line at The Tractor Supply (which she does), guess what? I would buy her items over the others that Miranda Lambert didn’t create. And that my friends, is the power of influence.

Rachel Ray is a famous chef, so it’s no surprise that she has a pet food line. If you go to any grocery store, chances are you will see her dog and cat food. It’s called Nutrish and you can buy it here.
Katherine Heigl
Actress, Katherine Heigl partnered with a company called Badlands Ranch to make dog food and dog treats. When you go to their website, there’s a super cute photo of her on the couch with not one, but two pups.
Kameron Westcott
Kameron is a “Real Housewives of Dallas” star, and there’s now a sparkly pet food to go along with her bubbling and sparkling personality. There’s pet supplies like collars, toys, leashes, and pink dog food? But beware pet owners, she has gotten a lot of backlash for this food, and its quality.
Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres has (or maybe had) a pet line! There’s nothing let on her website in the pet section, but at one point Ellen has a line with PetSmart. You can still buy some of the toys on Amazon though!
Cesar Millan
Cesar Millan is known as a dog trainer, so this dog leash/training combo really makes sense for him and all consumers. You can buy one of those here.
