ICYMI: 7% Of Americans Think Chocolate Milk Come From Brown Cows
Not everyone is agriculturally literate.
According to a study done by the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, 7% of Americans think chocolate milk comes from brown cows. What?!
For the record, chocolate milk definitely does NOT come from brown cows. But millions of Americans seem to think so.

The survey also reported about half of 1,000 people polled said they weren’t sure where chocolate milk comes from.
We have to say, it’s a little bit disappointing that there are people over the age of seven out there who believe chocolate comes out of cows. I mean, we wouldn’t need Nesquik and Ovaltine if we had brown cows that could work their chocolate magic!
So now we should ask, how is chocolate milk made?
It’s simple. Get some milk and mix in some chocolate syrup or cocoa. And voila! You have your very own delicious glass of chocolate milk!
