A Solid Gold Toilet Worth $1 Million Stolen From Winston Churchill’s Birthplace
You didn’t misread that headline … a solid gold toilet named ‘America’ has been stolen from Winston Churchill’s birthplace in England! The toilet was part of an art exhibit inside Churchill’s childhood home and was hand crafted from Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan! The toilet is worth $1.2 million dollars! Perhaps the strangest part of this whole story is that the toilet was connected to the home’s plumbing, but was somehow disconnected by the thieves… and they needed to use 2 cars to run off with it! Police said the toilet’s removal caused “significant damage and flooding” to the building and a 66 year old man has been arrested in the case but has yet to be charged or identified.
