Netflix is Rebooting He-Man… Again!
When I saw this headline I was super excited. As a kid, He-Man was my JAM! I collected all the figures and loved Ram Man, Man At Arms, Buzz Off, Moss Man, Stinkor… ok I’ll stop but you get the picture – I was a mega He-Man nerd.
Netflix already announced one He-Man reboot – a limited anime-influenced series. This is a whole other reboot. It will focus on young Prince Adam as he discovers the power of Castle Grayskull, discovering and compiling a new team of heroes to battle the forces of Skeletor in a quest to become true masters of the universe.
This is all well and good. Where it falls apart for me personally is where I read that it will be CGI animation. Uggggg. I don’t want Orko to get The Chipmunks Movie treatment! I just think it’ll look clunky, weird, and computery (new word alert!).
Anyway, no word on when it’s coming to Netflix but it is coming and I’ll try to remain hopeful. (Though my inner-childhood is prepared to be let down and crushed like a tomato in mama’s Sunday sauce.)
