Shelter Looking For Home For Cat Who “Hates Kittens, Christmas, Children and Dixie Chicks”
If I could adopt this cat I would. Perdita the cat doesn’t like much. Mitchell County Animal Rescue in North Carolina is looking for a home for the 4 year-old cat but they warn that she is the “World’s Worst Cat.”
In a comical post on their Facebook page they explain: “Meet Perdita, not for the faint of heart. LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again; the song Cat Scratch Fever, the movie Pet Cemetery (Church is her hero), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, being queen of her domicile, fooling shelter staff into thinking she’s sick (vet agrees…she’s just a jerk)”
This doesn’t sound like the kind of cat who will happily greet you at the door when you get home. Nope, Perdita don’t play like that.
Oh… and you’re curious about her dislikes? “DISLIKES: the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least…HUGS.”

Don’t we all have days where we don’t want to deal with anything, we need an extra cup of coffee just to get by, and we avoid direct eye contact with anyone because interaction is not in the cards for today? So does Perdita. Every… single… day. And that’s why she is my furry little spirit animal.
