No New England Winter This Year? Forecast Says: “Maybe”
I’m sure I’m in the minority here but I miss the snow. Sure, I hate shoveling my larger-than-necessary driveway but there’s something about driving down a New England backroad after a fresh snowfall with the snow-covered branches of trees glistening in the sun framing the roadway. I was raised in Vermont – I guess that and maple syrup are in my blood.
New forecast models are predicting “widespread warmth” in February which takes us pretty close to the Spring, which begins on March 19th.
So no sledding? Just sit on a skateboard and go down a hill? No snowman-making? Maybe we can build a mud-man? And who needs hot cocoa? I’ll take a cold chocolate milk. Meh.
