Oscar Fashion Hits and Misses
Oscar Fashion…Hit or Miss?
Thank you to our own Boston fashion expert, David Josef, for contributing to Oscar 2020 ‘Hit or Miss!’
From David’s email reads:
Let’s start with trends! One shoulder gowns…. Kelly Ripa, Renée Zellweger, Selma Hayek, Charlize Theron.
Another trend. PINK!!!! Everybody was in pink! It was fresh and bright! Nice to see a soft color on the red carpet.
Fashion Hits
Regina King exquisite in a duchess satin fitted ballgown, beautifully beaded with a fantastic bustle that turned into a train in the back.
Charlize Theron in a spectacular one shoulder very clean-cut black gown with the longest train in the world.
Renée Zellweger in a very clean one shoulder beaded slim gown. Very elegant
Mindy Kaling in a little yellow silk one shoulder draped grass…… Was beautiful with her skin tone and the curves of her figure.
Brie Larson… Exquisite in the beaded Cape Gown!
Fashion Misses
Ok. The messes!!!!! Omg. So many!
What the hell is Olivia Colman wearing?…… You have to see a picture because I cannot describe it. Thank God she has a fabulous personality.
Another horror was Sandra Oh! Ohhhh NOOOOOO. Just too much and too many places… Flowers flowers everywhere.
Billie Eilish showing up in a Chanel disaster! An utter DISASTER
NOW. A DOUBLE PLAY FOR THE MOST RIDICULOUS DRESSES. From SNL! Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph. Omg. Maybe it was a comedy skit. Maya was draped in a toga. While Kristin looks like she got caught in a car wash! Ugh.
