This Italian Village Near the Amalfi Coast Wants To PAY YOU To Live There
I’m packing my bags right now – imaginarily in my head – and I’m moving to Italy where I will drink fabulous Italian wine for a living. I wish. But… it actually is a possibility. Well probably not the drinking wine for a living part, but there is a village in Italy that will pay you to move there right now!
Stefano Farina is the mayor of Teora in Italy and he plans on repopulating the village, which sits at the base of Mount Cresta del Gallo not far from the Amalfi coast by offering anyone (who has at least one child) willing to live there for at least three years, the majority of their monthly rent covered by the government. Or, if you’d rather, they’ll hand over a lump sum worth about a quarter of the cost of an average home. The homes in the area are said to be in good condition.
So what’s the next step? If interested, all you need to do is email the village town hall to apply. For more information on available properties, contact Teora’s town hall office at staff@comune.teora.av.it
Good luck! Send us post cards!!
