We Binged More ‘Love Is Blind’ This Weekend – Here Are My Thoughts Now
We’ve now watched 7 episodes of Love Is Blind. We only have 3 episodes and the Reunion left. Here are some scattered thoughts up until this point:
I love this show. I love how multi-faceted it is. First the pods, then paradise, then real life – moving in, meeting families. I hope Netflix picks it up for a second season.
Carlton & Diamond: We felt so bad for Diamond. Not because of Carlton’s secret. Because Carlton was craaaaazzzzzyyyyy. You never knew who you were getting…
Kelly & Kenny: Zzzzzzz…. They are SO boring to me. It was cute when their parents all met and I’m sure they’ll be happy but they’re boring and they make me uncomfortable just watching them.
Barnett & Amber: I thought I’d hate them but they’re actually my favorite couple. I could use a little less making out and Amber needs to stop biting Barnett all the time but I kind of like them. Barnett seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders (even though he seems like a little bit of a d-bag) and I love Amber’s reaction to Jessica flirting with her fiancee. Amber definitely seems a bit nutty and obsessed but I like her. And I loved seeing how tight she is with her family.
Jessica & Mark: I feel bad for Mark, but it’s been kind of sad watching. It’s been obvious that Jessica isn’t into him… but he keeps trying to see only a perfect relationship. He even says that he’s fighting so hard to make it work. You shouldn’t have to fight that hard at the start of a relationship. Plus he was Jessica’s second choice… on a show with what, 10 options overall. They are doomed. And as for Jessica? I haven’t heard one person who likes her. She needs to stop drinking because she is really terrible when she’s drunk. Oh yeah, and I can’t stand her voice. Yikes.
Lauren & Cameron: I like them a lot. But the way Cameron gazes at Lauren creeps me out. I loved that he rapped – didn’t see that coming. And I hope he stops wearing such open-top shirts – dude has a neck like a giraffe and the wide-open shirts don’t help that illusion. But I like them as a couple and hope things work out for them.
Damian & Giannina: I love watching them because DRAMA BOMB! The scene where they were talking the morning after the fight they had at Barnett’s party was crazy. They basically sounded like they broke up then 2 seconds later they’re making out? Whaaaaa? I don’t see this one working out either.
So at this point if I were to bet, I’d see Kelly & Kenny making it, Lauren & Cameron getting married but then struggling a bit, and Barnett & Amber getting married and being happy for a while before major drama hits them and their relationship at some point. The rest I don’t see happening.
