“State Fair To-Go:” The Minnesota State Fair Is Shipping Fair Food To You This Year
Ever wonder what it’s like to eat specialty fair foods from State Fairs in other areas of the country? No? Me neither, actually, but now that The Minnesota State Fair is shipping “State Fair To-Go” boxes featuring fair-goers favorite foods from their fair I’m a little curious.
Since the fair is canceled this year, they’ve decided to put together boxes containing foods like: cheese curds, corn dogs, French fries, chocolate chip cookies, and mini donuts. Each box goes for $59.95, and shipping will begin on August 17.
Each box contains enough food for 5 people. Shipping is free in Minnesota but will cost $14.95 to get to any other state.
A little steep but set up pop-a-balloon and toss-the-ball-in-the-cup in the backyard, crank up some carny music, and fry up your “State Fair To-Go” box and you’ve made your own backyard fair. And bonus – it’ll feel like you took the family on a quick vacation to Minnesota! Kind of. Not really.
