Lindsay Ell, known in Nashville and beyond for her amazing guitar skills, took a moment yesterday (10/6) to pay tribute to Eddie Van Halen who died yesterday at 65 after a battle with cancer.

Lindsay posted to her Instagram, "A true legend in his own right...to change the course of the future of guitar forever. Your music, your spirit and your legacy will live on. Thank you for everything you taught us, EVH. @eddievanhalen."

Other country music guitar masters Keith Urban and Brad Paisley posted earlier as we wrote yesterday.

Keith, who had never met Van Halen said in part, "There are lots of great guitar players in the world, but very VERY few true innovators. Players who seem to have arrived from a far distant planet , and who bring a completely new color to the rainbow. Eddie Van Halen was this and so much more."
