Three cheers for the red, white and blue!

No matter the outcome, it’s America and you have a voice. So, let’s celebrate our democracy with a tasty cocktail, or three… to get us through the long night.

Something in RED?

The Boulevardier: This classic cocktail goes way back, likely to the early 1920s

Get it: 1½ ounces of your favorite bourbon, ¾ ounce sweet vermouth, ¾ ounce Campari, orange peel.

Make it:  Chill a cocktail glass by filling with ice or placing in the freezer for about 5 minutes. Pour the liquid ingredients into a mixing glass that’s 2/3 full of ice. Stir until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into the cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange slice or peel.

I’m Dreaming of a WHITE Cocktail

White Russian Here’s another classic. So rich and delicious; always a fan favorite!

Get it : 2 ounces Kahlua, 2 ounces vodka, 2 ounces heavy cream.

Make it: Fill a rocks glass with ice. Pour Kahlua and vodka into the glass. Pour heavy cream over the top, and serve.

Baby BLUE

Royal Blue Cocktail: This gem of a cocktail has a hint of citrus flavor, while also providing a jewel-inspired color tone.

Get it: Lime wedge, coarse sugar or granulated sugar, 1/4 cup cranberry juice cocktail, 2 tablespoons (1 oz) citron vodka or vodka, 2 tablespoons blue curacao, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, ice.

Make it: Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass, with a lime wedge. Sprinkle sugar onto a small plate. Dip the moistened rim into the sugar and lightly coat it. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add cranberry juice, vodka, curacao and lime juice. Cover and shake! Strain into the martini glass.

United We Stand

The Red White and Blue Shot– if things don’t go your way tonight, or if they do and you want a celebratory shot, try this pretty little shooter

Get it: 1/3 oz grenadine, 1/3 oz creme de cacao (white) and 1/3 oz blue curacao

Make it: Pour the grenadine into a shot glass, fill it 1/3 of the way. Float the white creme de cacao on top of the grenadine, by pouring it over the back of a bar spoon. The glass is now 2/3 full. Float the blue curaçao on top of the crème de cacao to fill the glass.
