Mayor Walsh Announces Boston Will Roll Back to Modified Phase 2 Step 2 Restrictions
Mayor Marty Walsh today announced that Boston will take a precautious step backwards in its reopening during the pandemic. Beginning Wednesday, Boston will roll back to modified Phase 2 Step 2 restrictions. The restrictions will require businesses such as museums, aquariums, bowling alleys, movie theaters, gyms and fitness centers to close in the city. Walsh said the reinstated restrictions will last for at least three weeks, or until the city’s metrics begin to move in a better direction.
“Rather than wait until the situation gets worse, we are going to be proactive here in the city of Boston,” Mayor Walsh said.
