Streaking and Skydiving For A Good Cause
Usually I’m not the kind of person who appreciates streaking in public, but when there’s a charity element to it, I’m into it!
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane to go skydiving, you might know of the informal tradition for skydivers. I actually went skydiving with the Army Golden Knights, and it was the most exhilarating experiences of my life!
They say that if a skydiver makes it to 99 jumps, on his or her 100th jump, they jump in the nude.
Could you imagine the chill? And the freedom all at the same time!
Rian Kanouff of Omaha Nabraska came up with the idea to NOT wait till the 100th dive but instead he said “Let’s skydive naked to raise money as a fundraiser for a mental health charity after the recent death of a friend.”
His friend was close to that 100th jump, but sadly never made it.
So far he’s raised $2150 for the Movember foundation, a charity dedicated to men’s mental health prevention.
Ryan completed 60 naked jumps in Nebraska in 24 hours while dressed in nothing…except the safety equipment!
He also set a Guiness World Record in the process.
So while this story seems very “Nebraskan,” I say this is a story about how you’d do anything for a friend!
