There was a time when Brady reigned supreme. We’ve moved on in Boston, apparently. I’m referring to dog names. Take a stroll around the dog park. Who are you meeting? Fido? Freckles? Lucky? Rex? Goldie? Not likely. Those are more like the OG of puppy monikers.
Those of us in the Boston area reportedly prefer more modern names like Lola, Ziggy, and Jack. But take a look at a recent list distributed by the City of Boston, and you may also be surprised to find some familiar old-school K-9 names.
To serve as a reminder to get your pets licensed by March 31, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s Animal Care and Control Division divulges the most licensed dog name from the previous year.
Drum roll, please… The most popular male dog name in 2021 was Charlie! Ziggy wasn’t far behind. For our pretty lady pups the number one choice in Boston was Luna. A close second was Bella.
You’ll find the full list HERE, and in the post below.
As Boston pet owners get ready to relicense their pals next month, the city released the top dog names. Did your pooch's name make the cut? https://t.co/IDWLYkqMBE— Boston Patch (@BostonPatch) February 10, 2022
Let’s take a minute of our busy day and just look at cute puppies. I mean, come on, it’s Friday. You deserve this eye candy.
