Taylor Swift, Janet Jackson and Cody Johnson weren’t the only celebrities spotted in New England over the weekend. A Saturday Night Live star was also spotted. He’s been filming a movie in Rhode Island, and was seen in Newport on Saturday. Kenan Thompson, who’s been filming Good Burger 2 made a surprise delivery to Newport Police on Saturday morning.

The filming of Good Burger started on Thursday with stars Kenan and Kel Mitchell in North Providence, at the site of a former Friendly’s restaurant. The 2 actors are back in their roles as Dexter and Ed from the 1997 original Good Burger movie. Early on Saturday morning Good Burger 2’s Kenan Thompson made a surprise delivery to Newport police. He showed up with coffee and donuts for the officers!

According to NPD in a Facebook post,”officers were surprised by a couple visitors! Mayor Xay Khamsyvoravong and actor/comedian Kenan Thompson stopped in with some coffee and donuts (yes we really do love coffee and donuts). Thompson is in Rhode Island during the filming of the new Good Burger movie and was nice enough to stop and hang out some of the guys and girls from NPD!”

A number of big films have been made in Rhode Island, like Me, Myself and Irene, starring Jim Carey. 27 Dresses with Katherine Heigl and James Marsden was filmed in the 401, as well as Meet Joe Black, starring Brad Pitt. And here are a bunch of movies made in Mass:
