Massachusetts: Central Perk Coffee From ‘Friends’ To Open In Boston
“How you doin’ Central Perk?” The infamous coffee shop from the classic TV show Friends, is expected to open on Newbury Street in Boston next month.
“The Central Perk Coffee Co will soon open its first-ever coffeehouse and café concept. It’s a modern take on the classic Central Perk from Friends and we think you’re gonna love it,” CentralPerk.com states.
The chef behind Central Perk Coffee Co is Tom Colicchio, who is also a head judge on Bravo’s Top Chef. “Channeling the unforgettable camaraderie of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross, the inaugural Central Perk Coffeehouse transcends nostalgia, emerging as a fully functioning coffeehouse and contemporary haven,” they said in a statement (per Masslive). Central Park is also an officially licensed partner of Warner Brothers.
A Peak Inside The Perk
This Boston coffee shop is expected to have an outdoor patio and an orange couch similar to what you infamously saw the cast of Friends hang out on. In fact, their logo also mirrors that of the show. Currently, Central Perk has numerous merch items available for purchase on their website. This includes everything from coffee mugs, to shirts, and hats. Furthermore, if you want a taste of what you can expect at this café, you can order their coffee as well.
In addition, some of the menu items at this Boston coffee shop inspired by Friends, are themed after the show’s cast. For example, Chandler’s Chocolate Milk, Rachel’s Side Salad, and Joey’s Meatball Sandwich are expected to be on the menu.
In the meantime, while you anxiously await Central Perk’s Newbury Street opening, you can subscribe to their coffee delivery program. You simply select the coffee type you’d like and the frequency in which you would like it supplied (15, 30, 60, or 90 days). When you subscribe to this program through the website you can free shipping and a 10% discount.
