What does 2024 hold for us?
Well according to the long gone Nostradamus the French astrologer, physician, apothecary and supposed "seer" who lived from 1503 to 1566. He made many predictions in his time and some believers say he was very accurate predicting everything from Kings losing their heads to Adolph Hitler and World War 2. He also is very hard to comprehend because he wrote in a style that leads to interpretation and that leads to a lot of misinterpretations. Here are 4 predictions for 2024 from Nostradamus that are very bold and hopefully not true
Prince Harry becomes King

One of the passages in his long text says that a “King of the Isles” will be “driven out by force.” Some think Nostradamus is referring to King Charles III. Another passage supposedly about Charles says “soon afterward [a disastrous war] a new King shall be anointed / Who, for a long time, will appease the earth,” according to IFLScience. This one seems very strange because 1) King Charles is still very young compared to his mother and if he did step down, why wouldn't Prince William take the crown? I think this scenario would be very unlikely, but who can ever predict what the future holds these days? Nostradamus supposedly.
China wages war

Nostradamus predicted “combat and naval battle” and said that a “Red adversary will become pale with fear, putting the great Ocean in dread.”
Some think that the “Red adversary” could be referring to China and their red flag. The “naval battle” could be referring to China’s tensions with the island of Taiwan. Beijing, the capital of China, has the largest navy in the world. We know that China has been very aggressive militarily these days and the world has taken notice. Their planes have buzzed our ships in the areas near Taiwan and even sent to mystery balloons floating over the entirety of the United States. You would be naive to believe that China is a friend and not a foe.
Climate disaster

The climate crisis has become more apparent in recent years with an increase in drought wildfires and record-high temperatures.
Nostradamus predicts it will get even worse. “The dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when it is seen,” he wrote.
He also predicted extreme weather events and world hunger. “Very great famine through pestiferous wave,” he said. We can all see that 2023 was a very extreme year for weather with record heat and rain. Is it a natural weather cycle or is there more than meets the eye?
A new Pope

Pope Francis could soon see a replacement, according to the astrologer’s predictions.
“Through the death of a very old Pontiff, A Roman of good age will be elected, Of him it will be said that he weakens his see, But long will he sit and in biting activity,” he wrote.
Pope Francis, who is days shy of his 87th birthday, has been having health issues.
The Pope had to skip the U.N. climate conference because of lung inflammation and breathing problems from the flu.
Keep in mind with these predictions for 2024 from Nostradamus for instance this year, Nostradamus predicted the coming of the antichrist as well as a full-blown World War III. Oh boy, I almost hate to share this downer of a prediction with you but keep in mind, old Nostradamus has been wrong plenty of times before. Here's to happy New Year!
Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions We Made for 2023
We're on Day 3 of the new year . . . is your resolution still intact?
A poll leading up to New Year's found 37% of us were planning to make a resolution this year, and another 17% said they might. Here are the top ten resolutions we made for 2023, according to the poll . . .
10. Learn Something New

Whether it's learning to ski, golf or cook, we all want to learn something new this year. The good news is, there's plenty of time to get started on whatever it is you want to learn.
9. Spend More Time With The Family

Spending more quality time with the family is a great resolution to make and fun to keep. After all, did any body ever wish they spent more time at work on their proverbial death bed? Doubt it.
8. Improve Your Mental Health

For most of us when it comes to our health and resolutions it's all about our physical health. Losing weight and getting in shape, etc. but we can easily neglect our mental health. So, be sure to make that part of your new year, it's just as important as looking good!
7. Pay Down Debt

Having a mountain of debt is one of the most stressful things we deal with and it's also one of the scariest things to think about the ramifications of carrying so much debt. Any financial advisor would tell you to pay it down and avoid adding to it. With interest rates so high it's more important then ever to pay it down, and making extra payments if possible.
6. Try To Be Happier In General

Trying to be happier in general is a worthy resolution, who doesn't want to be happier? Find small things that to do that make you happy, the best news is, some of those things are free.
5. Lose Some Weight

Losing weight is always a top 5 resolution and most of us make for a good reason, we have been through the food gamut starting with Halloween and straight through all the New Year's Eve parties. We tell ourselves that beginning January the diet starts, if this is something you have on your list, you are not alone. Good luck!
4. Eat Better

After all the parties that started around Halloween and through Thanksgiving and Christmas and ending on New Year's Eve, most of us could probably eat better, so let's all try the salad for lunch!
3. Work Out More

There's a reason you're seeing non stop ads on TV or hearing on the radio for health clubs and gyms. January is the busiest month of the year at your local gym. They offer great deals to join them, but joining and using are two different things. I hope you find yourself there a lot!
2. Be Healthier In General

This is a great way to package all the ways to be healthier this year in general. Adding a workout program to a commitment to eat better combined with a desire be happier is a winning combination that is hard to beat.
1. Save Money!

The number one goal is to save money this year, which ties in nicely with the number seven goal of paying down debt. Without paying down your debt it is very hard to save money. One you have paid down your debt then you can really save money. It's a whole lot easier to be happy and healthy knowing you have money in the bank and you will help you sleep better, but don't keep your money in the mattress, there are better places for it!
