You Get To Choose The Baby Name For Ayla Brown's Son!
Baby Name for my boy, what Should it be?
The Country 102.5 family is growing. A few weeks ago country star, Jordan Davis, announced to our listeners that I am having another baby boy! Two boys under two, I can’t believe it. But here’s the twist – I’ve thrown the baby naming rights into the hands of you, our beloved listeners. (Well, sort of).
Jordan Davis called in to reveal the gender of my baby!!! And guess what? I’m having another BOY! I am so excited!
Before you get too carried away dreaming up names that sound like they belong to future country music legends or potential pets, we’ve got a list. This is a curated collection of ten names that range from traditional to modern. Some of these names have been lovingly picked out by my husband and I. Others? Let’s just say they’re wild cards thrown into the mix for your voting pleasure.
But here’s where it gets interesting: Among these gems are names that Rob and I would actually consider, and some that…well, let’s just say they’d need a bit more convincing. I will tell you right now that if the name “Jonathan” gets picked I’m quitting my job! Kidding, but I wonder who threw that one into the mix?
While the final name decision rests with us, your vote still matters. It’s a chance to be part of a unique story, to have a say in naming the next generation of a Country 102.5 listener.

The Results Are IN For The Baby Name!
We promised you we would announce the baby name at 8:30am on March 28th. But as the mother of my unborn son, it was really fun to see what names YOU liked the most. When we first announced this contest, the name “Reed” took a heavy lead. It was then followed by “Bradley,” “Garrett” and “Brock.”
As I said before, some of the names we put in there were meant to be a joke. Let me disclose what ones those were: Jonathan was the first one. As you know, my partner in crime in the morning’s name is Jonathan. Truth be told, he put that name into the mix. But I would NEVER name my son after a person who is like a brother to me! Similarly, the name James is actually “Work Daddy Jim’s” real name. So that was thrown in there for a laugh too. Thankfully, those two didn’t pan out well anyways.
The last one that was meant to be a joke was the name Garrett. I already have a son named “Barrett,” so could you imagine if I had a Barrett and a Garrett running around the house? NO WAY! But you guys seemed to LOVE the name Garrett. Joke’s on you though because Garrett didn’t win.
The Winner Of The Baby Name Is… BROCK!
Brock took the win by only 6 votes!! Over 8,000 votes were submitted, and the name that we wanted ultimately won in the end!!
It was neck and neck between two “B” names. Bradley and Brock. But in the end, 8,264 votes were cast, and Brock was the winner by only SIX VOTES!
How do I feel about the name Brock? Truthfully, I am obsessed with it, and it was what my husband and I were planning on naming our child regardless of the votes. We were convinced of the name right when we looked up the meaning, which translates into, “The Feisty Badger.”
So I’ve comes to grips that I will have a “Bear” (my first son’s nickname) and a “Badger” (Second son’s nickname) causing complete chaos in my house. I can already picture them wrestling each other and fighting over who gets the front seat when they’re older. I can imagine them sharing a room and telling stories about hockey, music and trucks. I just can’t wait to meet him. May can’t come soon enough.
