Lionel Richie received the coveted Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song – an award previously won by greats like Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Smokey Robinson, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, and others. During the ceremony, there were amazing performances by Luke Bryan, Garth Brooks, Lionel Richie himself, and this soulful rendition of Richie’s classic “Say You, Say Me” performed by Chris Stapleton.
