Listening Lounges Are Hot: Check Out A Chic New Vinyl Bar In Seaport
Everything that’s old is cool again. Case in point, listening lounges are back. These are swanky spots serving creative cocktails and funky fun food while a DJ plays vinyl records. Here we go Boston, a chic new vinyl bar in Seaport has opened!
Headroom Hi-Fi Cocktail Lounge can be found at Trillium Brewing’s Fort Point location. The website describes this chi chi spot at “a vibrant space where the familiar and the unfamiliar meet to create an experience you’ll crave in an environment you’ll want to return to again and again.”
What’s Inside This New Vinyl Bar in Seaport?
To quote the artist Beck in his song, “Where It’s At,” here’s what’s inside the new vinyl bar in Seaport:
“Pulling out jives and jamboree handouts
Two turntables and a microphone
Bottles and cans, just clap your hands
Just clap your hands”
Headroom features a DJ booth with (you guessed it) 2 turntables, a Mcintosh tube amp and “carefully curated set lists from our deep library of vinyl” as described on their website.
Yes, this vibey place is music forward, but there is also a fab menu of shareable food. Scallop Crudo, oysters and deviled eggs are a few of the munchies on the menu. For the sweet stuff, enjoy caramelized white chocolate cheese cake, a cherry sorbet bowl or chocolate cake.
Pouring seriously fun cocktails and craft beer, like Trillium faves and much more, there is bound to be a drink with your name on it. Looking over the cocktail menu, I found mine. You know I love my espresso martinis, and their version is called Give Good Love and is made with espresso, vodka, egg whites and vanilla. Yum. Described as heavenly, rich and zippy. Yup, I’m there. Take a look at Headroom’s full menu of food and drinks HERE.
This isn’t the first viny bar to open in Boston. There’s Temple Records in downtown and set top open in the South End this summer is Desnuda Cocina e Bar. So we vinyl music fans have options. Have you ever been to a listening lounge/vinyl bar?
