Backstage Country Host – Maren Morris
Native Texan Maren Morris came onto the country music scene in 2015 when she released a self-titled EP which featured her first single “My Church,” which won her a Grammy for Country Solo Performance in 2017.
In 2016, she released her Grammy nominated Hero album which scored her number one song “I Could Use A Love Song” and top five “80’s Mercedes.”
In 2018, Maren released her latest album, Girl, which won the CMA Awards’ Album of the Year honor in 2019. That album features the number one song “Bones.”
Morris is also a member of The Highwomen, a group also consisting of Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby.
In 2020, Maren released a song she co-wrote about the stress and political nature of a trying 2020 called “Better Than We Found It” not shying away from her political and humanitarian beliefs.
Her personal life bloomed in 2020 when just two years after she married fellow artist Ryan Hurd, the couple had their first child together, a baby boy named Hayes in March.
